Getting Rid of the Guts

Once we had her safely parked it was time to take out the unnecessary insides.  Myra our 9 year old was in charge of taking down wallpaper.  I didn't have the heart to tell her that we would be pulling the entire piece of plywood off so she painstakingly tore off each little piece of paper.

The first major mold/water damage find was in the rear of the trailer (street side)

Here are some other "before" pictures of the inside before the demo.

Obviously this Shasta 1400 of unknown year was equipped with a potty and shower

Sorry folks we trashed the stereo so there's no need to email me and ask if I can ship it to you ;-)

My husband refers to this photo in the series as the "beginning of hell"

Fresh water tank storage area.  We will be camping with running water so this was demo'd

Previous owners installed carpet with nails, staples, screws, and other various fasteners.  Apparently this helped hold the trailer together for the ride home.

At this point my husband thought we might only have to rebuild just this wall.
