Electricity is really just organized lightning

It was a good weekend.  The roof is basically completed and includes a brand new watertight vent!  We will have A/C but it is so nice to be able to have an operable vent for the non A/C days.

Vent After

The roof went in well.  The paneling that we are replacing wasn't nearly as nice as the birch plywood that is there now.  Almost seems a shame to paint this nice birch paneling.  The next few photos are of the ceiling.  The 2x4 contraption is used to hold the ceiling panels in position until they are fastened with the stapler.

The electrical was pulled to all the designated outlets and other boxes.  Most of that happened before 8AM.  Your blog author does not rise before 8am on the weekend therefore any renovation activity that takes place during this time remains undocumented.

I do however have photos showing the wiring waiting for outlets and the cute little stainless covers I bought.

We also selected the colors for the exterior.  A nice deep red and an almond.

Another good product that we have used off an on for this rebuild is a flashing with a neoprene backing.  It is like a tape and good for small patch holes.

Another find was the marker lights.  They aren't "restoration correct" but I do like them and I think they will go well.  They came from Advanced Auto Parts.

After all this activity it was time to put the skin back on.  We started on the streetside.  Once again the finish stapler was a perfect tool.

I also finished the throw pillows--no photos yet.

I should also mention that Sharonna got a new raincoat this weekend.  This one is a little lighter weight and one piece versus the two piece she was wearing last week.  Good thing she had a new coat because today from out of nowhere about a 1/2" of rain dumped on us in a period of about 30 minutes.

In the middle of this our good friend Kirk called and had found the Shasta of his dreams.  This is his new girl.  Sharonna can't wait to go camping with her new "bestie"

All in all it was a good productive weekend.
